Compliance & Certifications
What is an Annual Fire Safety Statement?
An Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) is a legal document that certifies a building’s compliance with fire safety regulations and standards.
It serves as proof that the necessary fire safety measures have been implemented, inspected, and maintained in accordance with the requirements. Since 1st July 2020, building owners are required to engage an Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Essential Fire Safety Measures (EFSM) in their building.
What is AS1851:2012?
AS 1851-2012 is the Australian Standard for the maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment. In practice, it acts as a comprehensive instruction manual that guides our service team.
In 2022, new safety reforms were introduced to strengthen compliance with fire safety measures. From 13 February 2025, the NSW Government will make these standards mandatory. For our existing customers, there will be minimal change. Because we already follow AS 1851 guidelines, the only adjustment will be more frequent testing from 2025 onwards.

Our Ingstrom Escape Chutes
The lngstrom Escape Chute is designed for safe and rapid evacuation during emergency situations.
It complies with the requirements of the WH&S Act & Regulations, as well as MDG 15, and is independently certified as fit for purpose. The unit can be easily mounted onto existing platforms, is reusable after deployment, offering cost-effective functionality.
As evacuees pass through the chute from height, they have the ability to both slow down and speed up their descent. Additionally, the unit operates without requiring any power source, ensuring reliability in critical situations.
